Program Manager - Nashville, TN
This position is responsible for ensuring overall service quality and support to containment and inspection services.
Primary areas of responsibility include (but not limited to):
- Regularly communicate with supplier and customer representatives.
- Troubleshoot with the supplier/customer for process flow issues, new defects, spikes/spills or calibration issues.
- Complete Corrective Action Reports when required.
- Respond to service requests.
- Ensure all accounting procedures are being followed.
Personnel Management:
- Recruits, interviews and performs employee orientation.
- Ensures that PIC personnel are following Inspector Guidelines.
- Schedules personnel, including upsizing and downsizing project as required.
- Completes Performance Correction Notices as necessary.
Launching New Activity Projects:
- Participates in Kick Off Meeting.
- Performs Work-Site Assessment.
- Defines checks to be performed.
- Creates communication plan.
- Coordinates and train new employees.
- Ensures effective process flow and throughput.
Activity Sites:
Visit:
- Review inspection data and I charts posted in the area.
- Investigate any failures or spikes in the data.
- Audit work instructions in order to make sure procedures are being followed/consistency.
- Ensure that work instructions are current, available and visible to inspectors.
- Review timesheets to monitor overtime and hours of work.
- Meet with suppliers and customers to ensure satisfaction.
- Conduct ongoing audits of effectiveness of inspection methods.
Qualifications and mandatory skills include:
- Post secondary education in Business Mgmt, Engineering or related field.
- 1-3 years experience and training in quality assurance.
- Knowledge of the automotive manufacturing industry and inspection process.
- Willingness to travel.
- Ability to work in a fast pace, multi-tasked environment.
- Excellent problem solving, communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated computer skills (Microsoft Office and Access).
