Contract Quality Engineers

We are seeking to recruit potential Contract Quality Engineer’s available in the Madison Heights, MI area. This position reports to the Sr. Quality Engineer. Hours may vary based on length of assignment.

Primary areas of responsibility include (but not limited to):

• Interact daily with suppliers
• Work and manage different aspects of APQP & PPAP
• Perform presentations, design workshops
• Facilitate problem solving activities
• Set up containments (CS2)
• Quality system assessment and FMEA/CP
• Maintain control charts
• Produce and interpret I charts and control charts

Qualifications and mandatory skills include:

• 5 years of North American experience in Quality Engineering at Tier 1 or OEM
• Diploma or degree in an engineering field
• Have own transportation
• Be computer literate
• Knowledge of PPAP’s in Tier 1 or 2
• Strong communication skills
• Applied understanding of GD&T, CAD, CAM
• Applied knowledge in MSA, SPC, 5S
• Full understanding of the General Motors “GP Procedures”
• Working knowledge of AIAG, APQP & PPAP
