Inspection

When Time is Money, You Can’t Afford to Waste Either.

At the PIC Group, we understand the need to remain profitable to compete in today’s marketplace. After all, we’ve been delivering inspection services to OEMs and suppliers since 1997 and have continually raised the bar for quality, efficiency and effectiveness.

Our comprehensive suite of services can help with everything from visual checks and product certification to final vehicle inspection.

All of our inspection services can be provided at your location, at your customer’s site, or at one of our strategically located warehouses.

3rd Party Containment
The PIC Group has been an approved containment provider since 1999. We’re approved by the major OEMs to detect and stop the flow of non-conforming parts (to the OEM or tier-to-tier) and our quick response enables our clients to get up and running quickly.

Containment usually entails a detailed inspection of parts for specific suspect criteria and a specific quantity or time.

Our primary responsibility is managing the containment activity by establishing inspection criteria, marking system, and reporting structure.

Sorting
We will do whatever you require to keep non conforming parts and discrepant material from affecting your productivity.

Our qualified personnel are trained to effectively and efficiently sort specified non-conforming and discrepant material.

Our services can be provided at your location, at your customer’s site, or at one of our strategic locations.

Final Vehicle Inspection
The PIC Group can provide inspection services in your shipping yard. Our work involves inspecting known conditions based on the previous day’s customer Audit findings.

Our established process and guidelines, automated data collection system and single organization approach will quickly isolate issues, decrease traffic around vehicles and save money. Our use of automated data collection devices helps to capture relevant information and transfers it to you electronically.

Rework
Through our Rework services, we can help you to salvage already-produced parts by altering or changing a part to meet your exact requirements and specifications.

Our Rework services include:

Minor Rework
We’ll take your non-conforming part and modify it slightly to fit your specifications. An example would include the addition of foam or butyl tape to a trim part to solve noise or fit issues.

Major Rework
Normally conducted under the close direction of an authorized Quality Engineer, major rework may involve the use of specialized equipment to perform certain modifications. An example would involve moving a 7mm round hole inboard from the top of a window opening by 4mm and changing the original 7mm round hole to a 7mm x 9mm slotted hole.

Because Major Rework can be complex, PIC understands that the paper workflow is a critical part of the process. As a result, we ensure that detailed information is documented during every step of the process.
