IATF 16949:2016

The new IATF 16949 automotive industry standard was released in October 2016. Published by the International Automotive Task Force (IATF), this new version supersedes ISO/TS 16949:2009, and has become one of most widely used international standards for quality management for the automotive industry.

IATF 16949:2016 Introduction and Transition Strategy

IATF 16949:2016 is particularly significant as a result of fundamental changes to both the structure and its contents. Complying with the revised requirements will present new challenges for quality and audit professionals alike. This introductory session will guide management representatives and key employees through the changes between ISO/TS 16949:2009 and IATF 16949:2016, including the adoption of Annex SL, the framework for a generic management system. In addition, we will provide strategies to transition your quality management system to conform to the new standard.

IATF 16949:2016 Auditor Upgrade

IATF 16949:2016 is particularly significant as a result of fundamental changes to both the structure and its contents. This upgrade workshop will provide internal auditors an understanding of the changes between ISO/TS 16949:2009 and IATF 16949:2016, including the adoption of Annex SL, the framework for a generic management system. In addition, auditors will learn how these changes affect the audit process. Participants will learn to apply these changes through numerous workshop activities.

This course teaches participants how to survey and troubleshoot their own operation for compliance to IATF 16949:2016. The audit phases of planning, execution and follow-up are covered in detail. Every effort has been made to distinguish the role of an internal auditor versus a third party auditor. Participants will be shown how to tactfully utilize auditing techniques in their own full-time work environment.

This course will discuss all types of audits, assessments and show participants how to be most effective in these activities.
