  1. Trenton, Michigan 3CPR Supervisor
    Location: Trenton, Michigan

    Description:

    The PIC Group is seeking to fill a 3CPR Supervisor position to be located at the Chrysler Trenton Engine Plant in Trenton, MI.

    Primary areas of responsibility include (but not limited to):

    • Reports to the Operations Manager, Senior Program Manager or Program Manager.
    • Ensure overall service quality and support to containment and inspection activities at the OEM facility to which they are assigned.
    • Ensure PIC personnel are following guidelines regarding safety, protective wear, dress code, cell phone use etc. at the OEM facility to which they are assigned
    • Conduct new employee orientation at their site.
    • Schedule employee shifts including upsizing and downsizing when required.
    • Facilitate the employee performance correction procedure as required.
    • All aspects of launching and maintaining new projects including initial kick off meeting through to ensuring effective process flow and throughput.
    • Assist with contractual requirements.
    • Proficient in the OEM's status reports and computer systems (3CPR WBS - Covisint, TMMI - SQPS, etc.)
    • May conduct recruiting services supporting containment projects and sorting activities.
    • Review inspection data, place data in OEM computer systems daily, assure that all requirements of an OEM project are met. (ie,, WI, Clean Point, PO Validation).
    • Track PO's and assure that the values are not exceeded.  Assure proper financial coverage for each project.
    • Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment, review new issues or samples of defects and investigate any failures or spikes in data.
    • Audit work instructions and observe inspectors to ensure procedures are correct and consistent.
    • Review timesheets for accuracy. Sign off on timesheets. Organize, validate total number, scan and save into PICO system under payroll tab.
    • Communicate data and cost of sort daily to customer.  Report data to OEM's for inventory purposes.
    • Verify that required supplies are available in sufficient amounts and controlled
    • Meet with supplier and customer representatives to ensure satisfaction and that all supplier OEM requirements are met.
    • Responsible for the health and safety of inspectors and lead hands.
    • Conduct ongoing audits of effectiveness and containment methods.
    • Communicate regularly with Project Manager and Vendor representative.
    • Troubleshoot and problem solve with the supplier and customer for process flow issues, new defects, spikes/spills or calibration issues.
    • Complete corrective action reports when required.
    • Respond to service requests and ensure overall service quality and support to containment and inspection activities.
    • Demonstrates commitment to reduce the risk of workplace accidents by complying with relevant local Health and Safety legislation. 

    Qualifications and mandatory skills include:

    • Experience in quality, operations management, engineering or a related field is an asset.
    • Min 1 year supervisory experience required.
    • Previous automotive industry experience an asset.
    • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
    • Ability to coordinate, prioritize and multitask.
